HMD Lays Down the Keel for Manganese Steel B/C

Hyundai Mipo Dockyard(HMD) laid down the keel for a 50,000 DWT bulk carrier on July 3. The 50,000 DWT bulk carrier equipped with a dual-fuel engine capable of running both on bunker C oil and LNG. To contain cooled natural gas as fuel, the bulk carrier has an LNG fuel tank made of high manganese steel which has a higher strength at a lower price. Construction Presentation for RO-PAX

HMD held a construction presentation for RO-PAX on April 14. In the meeting attended by 70 plus employees, HMD employees shared their opinions about the features, characteristics, and general construction schedules for the ship that HMD built for the first time.
